ECP rejects PTI’s petition seeking to delay intra-party polls hearing

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday suffered a setback after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected its petition seeking delay in the hearing of the case about its intra-party polls till the issuance of clarification by the Supreme Court on its July 12 ruling on the reserved seats matter.  The ECP, in its today’s verdict, said that the PTI had already delayed the issue of intra-party polls a lot and it wouldn’t be appropriate to defer the matter any further. The induction ceremony of warships PNS Babar and PNS Hunain into the fleet of Pakistan Navy will be held on the occasion of the Defence Day, which is observed in Pakistan on September 6.
