Casualties go up to 15 as deadly flooding swept villages in central Greece

Rescue officials continue to search for the bodies as another deceased person was found at sea in the Pelion region, taking the overall death toll due to devastating flooding to 15 in central Greece Sunday.  Authorities found three bodies earlier in the day near the town of Karditsa, where rescue operations are continuing unabated. Saturday’s toll listed 11 fatalities from the devastating floods, according to AFP. Train hits seven people in Spain killing 4, injuring 3

Emergency services in Spanish Catalonia wrote on X — formerly known as Twitter — that at least people have lost their lives and another three were injured after a group of seven people were hit by a train while crossing the railway line.  The incident took place in Montmelo about 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Barcelona. The caretaker government on Sunday urged the public to come forward and inform on smuggling, hoarding and illegal immigrants.
