ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will take up the suo motu notice against Senator Faisal Vawda on Friday after he verbally attacked the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges in a presser. Driving licence fees see major hike in Islamabad

The driving licence, learner permit and renewal fees has been hiked for Islamabad residents by the city’s administration, Geo News reported on Wednesday.  A notification issued by the chief commissioner, that the staggering increase in the driving licence fees will be implemented on an immediate basis.  Those who want a driving licence permit for six months will have to pay more than double the amount as the fee has been increased from Rs349 to Rs1,000. Wheat import: Inquiry committee denies summoning any govt official, politician for probe

ISLAMABAD: The inquiry committee, investigating the alleged excessive import of wheat, on Monday clarified that no government official or politician was summoned for probe in the matter.  In a notification, issued on Sunday, stated that the committee — being headed by the cabinet division secretary — held its first meeting during which it worked on the documents and the statistics.
